Hannah Brencher is a writer, TED speaker, and the founder of More Love Letters, the project through which she and her community have worked to deliver over 100,000 letters of love and support to people across all 50 states and in more than 70 countries.
Named as one of the White House’s “Women Working to Do Good”, Hannah and her work have been featured in outlets such as Oprah, the Huffington Post, Glamour, Cosmo, BBC News, CNN World News, and the Wall Street Journal. She is currently working on her second book, but her wonderful first memoir "If You Find This Letter" is available now.
In this episode, Hannah shares the story of how and why she started More Love Letters. We talk openly about our struggles with depression, and we share questions on faith, building a relationship with God, and how to best show up for each other. Hannah also shares a lot of what she's learned over the past 8+ months of being with her partner - like how wonderful the sweetness of boring relationships can be, and how love is a choice and an action instead of a story filled with empty words. As someone who is smack in the middle of my own search for deeper faith and grace, I found it truly wonderful to chat with Hannah, whose writing I absolutely adore. I hope you enjoy our talk as well!
