In this episode, which moved me and gave me so much to think about, Master Phil shares the story of how he first got into martial arts and what has motivated him to keep on with it year after year after year. He shares a detailed look at his mind/body/spirit approach to life and what that actually looks like on a day-to-day basis, and we talk about everything from cultivating discipline to creating a high performance environment to knowing when to quit vs when to dig in.
Master Phil also shares about being bullied as a child, and how that lead him to write a book and create a program to teach specific tactics and behaviors to children to help prevent and overcome bullying.
We talk about sources of inspiration, the power of experience what Master Phil calls "real moments" or miracles, and through it all his honest story sharing and willingness to be open and detailed makes this a conversation I won't soon forget. I hope you enjoy it as well!
